Meet Amara Unegbu-Ogbonna, PA-C
First and foremost, welcome to US Digestive Health! As you can see, my name is Amara and I graduated from Temple University’s Lewis Katz School of Medicine Physician Assistant Program. Prior to that, I was a Medical Laboratory Scientist in the specialty of Immunohematology for about 6 years. Although I learned a lot in that field, it lacked the person-to-person interaction that I thrive on. I genuinely enjoy people. There’s something so fulfilling, to me, about learning about someone and being provided the opportunity to aide them in living their best/healthiest possible life. Gastroenterology is a specialty that encompasses so many different clinical pictures. It’s exciting to keep learning and using this knowledge to help the patients we see daily.
Outside of work, I LOVE to travel internationally, try different restaurants, stay active, and spend time with my family. I hope that I can be a part of your journey to wellness; until then, stay safe and choose happiness.
