Meet Frederick Ruthardt, MD

In the 32 years that I’ve been a gastrointestinal specialist, I’ve learned a great deal of things about digestive disorders, how to diagnose them and how to best treat them. These are certainly important. But I’ve also learned over and over again that compassion is among the most essential aspects of being a gastroenterologist. My goal is to resolve disorders and provide relief so that people can live more enjoyable, productive and fulfilling lives. With gastrointestinal problems, genuine compassion for, interest in and dedication to each patient are vitally important to achieving this goal.

The sheer volume of exposure to both the disorders and the methods of diagnosis and treatment has helped make me highly competent and effective. Yet, I know that the effectiveness of my care for each patient depends on my focus and commitment. For this reason, I strive to always keep up-to-date with the advances in GI medicine and to bring the same intensity, carefulness and dedication that I would for my own loved ones. Anything less would be a disservice to the people who trust me to help them find relief and live fulfilling, productive lives.
