Meet Alyssa Lorenze, MD

Alyssa Lorenze is a highly accomplished medical professional specializing in Gastroenterology and Hepatology. She earned her B.S. in Biology from West Virginia University’s Eberly College of Arts and Sciences, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 2012. She continued her education at the West Virginia University School of Medicine, where she obtained her M.D. in 2017.

Dr. Lorenze completed her residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the same institution, serving as Chief Resident from 2020-2021. She completed her fellowship in the Department of Gastroenterology & Hepatology at the West Virginia University School of Medicine in 2024.

Dr. Lorenze has been recognized for her excellence in both academic and clinical settings, receiving numerous accolades such as the Martin E. Weisse Resident Research Competition 1st Place Award in 2019 and as a 4x recipient of the Promise Scholarship.

She holds a current Pennsylvania State Medical License, is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and board eligible in Gastroenterology.

In her free time, Dr. Lorenze enjoys HIIT training, Peloton workouts, traveling, exploring new foods and wines, and spending time with her dogs, friends, and family.
