Meet Kamal Baig, MD

Dr. Kamal P. Baig is a dedicated gastroenterologist with extensive experience in clinical practice, medical education, and research. Dr. Baig completed his fellowship in gastroenterology at Temple University Hospital and his residency in internal medicine at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital. His academic background includes a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the George Washington School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He is particularly interested in gastroenterological quality improvement, endoscopy, and the management of gastrointestinal conditions such as Helicobacter pylori infection and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).

Dr. Baig has authored and co-authored multiple peer-reviewed publications in top gastroenterology journals. Notable works include studies on the detection of proximal serrated polyps and Helicobacter pylori testing strategies, as well as the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on inpatient gastroenterology services. He has contributed to several abstracts and presentations at prominent medical conferences, including Digestive Disease Week (DDW) and the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG).

Dr. Baig provides first-class, personalized GI care to our area. When he is not working, he enjoys playing golf and spending time with his wife, son, and three dogs.
