Meet Melissa Vitolo, MD
Dr. Melissa Vitolo earned a bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Religion from Temple University, and went on to earn a medical degree from Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University, both in Philadelphia, PA.
Dr. Vitolo completed residency training in Internal Medicine at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL, where she also served as Chief Resident. She then went on to complete a fellowship in Gastroenterology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. Additionally, she has worked as a Hospitalist on Inpatient General Medicine Services and served as Preceptor for Internal Medicine Residents’ Clinic. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology and is licensed in Delaware with affiliation to the ChristianaCare Health System.
Dr. Vitolo has participated in research projects across a wide range of topics, including Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Barrett’s esophagus, and currently practices General Gastroenterology. She continues to have an interest in medical education. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading, and singing.
