Meet Ameet Parikh, MD

Dr. Parikh graduated from NHLM Medical College, India, where he earned his MD. He completed his Residency in Internal Medicine from Sheth K.M. School of PG Medicine and Research, India.

Dr. Parikh came to the United States in 1996 where he completed his Internship and Residency training again at the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey and subsequently worked as a Chief Medical Resident at the East Orange V.A. Medical Center. He went on to complete his Fellowship training in Gastroenterology at the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey.

He is board certified in Gastroenterology and has been practicing in Lancaster since 2003.

His areas of interest are general gastroenterology, colon cancer screening, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).

He has privileges at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Hospital,  UPMC Lititz, and Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center. He is proud to serve as the Medical Director of Endoscopy at the Mid Atlantic GI Endoscopy Center for the past several years.

Dr. Parikh, his wife and their two children reside in Lancaster. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, reading, gardening and spending time with his family and friends.
