Meet Frederick Ruthardt, MD

Dr. Frederick Ruthardt, MD has worked in private medical practice in southwestern Pennsylvania as a Gastroenterologist, and has over 30 years of experience in GI care, and is board certified in Gastroenterology. His top areas of expertise include Cirrhosis, Hepatitis and Endoscopy. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson University Sidney Kimmel Medical College in 1983 and completed a residency at UPMC Mercy.

“In the 20 years that I’ve been a gastrointestinal specialist, I’ve learned a great deal of things about digestive disorders, how to diagnose them and how to best treat them. These are certainly important. But I’ve also learned over and over again that compassion is among the most essential aspects of being a gastroenterologist.
