Meet Paul D. Allegretti, DO, FACG
Dr. Allegretti earned his D.O. degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his Internal Medicine Residency and GI Fellowship at Lankenau Medical Center.
He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology and has been practicing gastroenterology in Lancaster since 2007. He serves as Director for the annual GI Symposium hosted by Regional Gi physicians with the goal of partnering with, and educating, primary care physicians in Lancaster County. He is Vice President of the Pennsylvania Coalition for Independent Practice Physicians.
His areas of interest include Fecal Microbiota Transplantation, colon cancer screening, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and general gastroenterology.
Dr. Allegretti is the author of the first protocol for Fecal Microbiota Transplant (FMT) in Lancaster County and the first to treat patients with this procedure. He has published several articles and has presented research at several ACG National Meetings.
He has privileges at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Hospital, Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center, and UPMC Pinnacle Lititz.
Dr. Allegretti, his wife and daughter live in Lancaster. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, golf, gardening and tracking Philly sports teams.
