Meet Takahiro Nakamura, MD

Dr. Takahiro Ignacio Nakamura has established himself as a dedicated and accomplished physician specializing in gastroenterology. He earned his B.A. in Chemistry, magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, from Bowdoin College in 2014, and his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in 2018.

He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at NYU School of Medicine – Bellevue from July 2018 to June 2021, followed by his Gastroenterology Fellowship at the University of Vermont Medical Center.

He is a member of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the American Gastroenterological Association, and the American College of Gastroenterology.

Dr. Nakamura’s professional interests include general gastroenterology and inflammatory bowel disease. He has published extensively in these areas, with his work appearing in the American Journal of Gastroenterology, Gastroenterology, and Inflammatory Bowel Diseases.

Dr. Nakamura enjoys traveling, golfing, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.
